Star Wars and D.W Griffith

Watch the opening sequence of Star Wars. What film techniques does George Lucas use? How does this compare with D.W Griffith?

George Lucas pans across the spaceship, and also he uses up close shots of the main characters. Both him and D.w. Griffin used similar techniques like panning and close up shots to the subject.

the director, george lucas gets close ups of important characters and the not so important characters to build up suspense. George lucas uses long shot when the spaceships are in space. D.W. Griffith and George lucas use panning, close-ups, and long shots.
